Ecosystem based fisheries management is an approach towards sustainable fisheries, which strives to strike a balance between the ecological, social and economic trade-offs of fisheries management. As part of our work at SEAwise we are creating an advice tool for EBFM that will use the best-available models to give fisheries managers and other stakeholders tailored and ready-to-use advice on how their management strategies might work in real life – and what the different trade-offs of alternative management strategies might be. In this infographic we chart the outline of how we are trying to achieve this across Europe.
